My Tally printer is showing a hardware alarm. What do I need to do to fix this?
Turn off the power to the printer and leave it off for approximately fifteen minutes. Change the printer ribbon (look inside the printer to make sure the red tab from the ribbon has not fallen inside). Power the printer back on.
If the alarm message continues to display, or the printer will not print, contact the Washington State Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC), Customer Services eService Center and submit a ticket to request a service call. If the printer is AOC-owned, please provide the State ID Tag number with your request. The ID Tag looks similar to this:
